Certified Medical Coder (CMC)® Prerequisites/Supplemental Material

Candidates should have at least one year of medical coding experience. Participants with less than one year of experience should complete supplemental coding and medical records training prior to enrollment in this program.

Required Class Materials

Students must have current editions of CPT, ICD-9-CM, HCPCS manuals and a medical dictionary to study for this course. For additional support, students may gain 24/7 access to the pre-recorded course lecture via web-based streaming for an additional $299, available with live in-person class enrollment.
