Preparing for the CMCO Exam

PMI offers a comprehensive preparatory program to help candidates achieve CMCO certification. This program is ideal for those who have at least one year of experience in a medical practice setting. Those with less experience should take introductory medical office continuing education classes prior to enrollment.

A thorough examination process is crucial for maintaining the integrity of the certification. CMCO certification candidates must demonstrate a high level of competency on the exam. Five hours are allotted for completion of the exam. A score of 70% or better is required to be awarded the CMCO certification. If a passing grade is not achieved on the first attempt, candidates may re-test for an additional $149 sitting fee.
