For 30 years, Practice Management Institute has taught medical office professionals in classroom sessions all over the country in leading hospitals, health systems, medical societies and community colleges. Now PMI offers more options for those who cannot get away from the office or simply prefer to study at their own pace.

PMI’s new Self-Paced format provides registrants with a full physical copy of the certification manual plus login access to a series of 10-12 previously recorded lectures. Participants access pre-recorded lectures by streaming them over the Internet at their own convenience, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Support is available via PMI’s online Q&A forum, provided for participants to ask questions and interact with an instructor. A toll-free faculty help line is also available for those who prefer to work through questions over the phone.

The certification exam is included in enrollment fee. Once the course is completed, candidates contact PMI to make arrangements within one year to sit for the certification exam, proctored live in a nearby community. CEUs are awarded toward the renewal of another PMI certification.
