CEUs

The 2009 PMI National Conference for Medical Office Professionals is approved for up to 18 Continuing Education Units for PMI Certified Professionals (CMC, CMIS, CMOM). Pre-conference sessions are worth 6 CEUs each. The two-day conference is worth up to 12 CEUs. The AAPC has granted prior approval for the Coding/Reimbursement Pre-conference workshop and the 2-day national conference for up to 18 CEUs from the AAPC.

Please note that CEUs will be assigned per session attended. Participants with coding/reimbursement certifications who wish to fulfill annual CEU requirements must attend all general sessions and breakout sessions in either the Coding or Reimbursement tracks to obtain CEUs toward annual certification renewal requirements. Those with management certifications may attend any Track's session for annual renewal credit. For example: CMC/CMIS certified professionals who attend the Coding/Reimbursement Pre-conference workshop on May 21 will earn 6 CEUs. However, if CMC/CMIS attends the Pre-conference Management session, they cannot apply the 6 CEUs toward a CMC/CMIS certification.
