    CREATING EXHIBITOR TRAFFIC ^top

      PMI JEOPARDY

      A wildly entertaining event at the 2009 National Conference, exhibitors will have had the opportunity to participate in a rollicking game of Jeopardy immediately after the last Thursday session. In order to have the correct answers, attendees will have had to visit the exhibitors to have acquired them, ensuring more traffic throughout the Exhibit Hall.

      TREASURE HUNT

      A sensation at the 2009 Las Vegas Conference, attendees are provided the occasion to participate in the PMI Treasure Hunt. They will be given a pamphlet with a variety of questions. Those answering the most over the course of conference will win an iPod Touch. While queries will range from those whose answers will be found in their conference manual, others by interaction with fellow attendees and yet more by venturing onto San Antonio’s famous Riverwalk where select restaurants will have the answers they seek, exhibitors complete the final piece. Exhibitors will provide questions (in advance) to be included in the pamphlet that attendees can answer only be visiting the booth. This interactive event will most likely become a fixture of PMI conferences due to the fervent response in Las Vegas and interaction with participating exhibitors.

      PMI PRIZES

      Participating exhibitors who will provide a prize to be given out just before lunch on Friday, will have their name and prize listed in a handout in the conference manual. At various intervals, attendees will be reminded to visit these booths to either leave their business card, or complete a brief form for a drawing. Aside from the goodwill, added "face-time" will have been provided between exhibitors and attendees. Photos of the winners and the representing exhibitor will be placed on the PMI website and its Facebook page. (Previous giveaways have included $100 Gift Cards, a scanner, polo shirts and books.)

      MASSUESE

      Just when attendees are ready to stretch, PMI will be providing a masseuse who will be located directly in the middle of the Exhibit Hall. While they wait for their turn to get a relaxing massage, they will be steps away from your booth. (We may even throw in a free massage for you.)

      "EAT" & GREET

      With refreshment breaks scheduled throughout the conference, anyone wanting a pick-me-up will have to walk by your booth. All refreshment tables are located in the middle of the Exhibit Hall.

      DEDICATED EXHIBIT HALL SCHEDULE

      With every session hall, the lunch hall and break areas, ALL within a few steps of every booth, abundant traffic is assured. However, time will still be devoted each day, just before lunch, for the Exhibitor Meet & Greet.

      "IMAGE CONSCIOUS"

      During an audio visual loop to be run at various intervals throughout the conference, your logo will be displayed on the large screens in the general session hall.

      Of particular interest under the Management Track is the EMR Panel that will be conducted during Day One, moderated by David T. Womack, Executive Vice President of PMI. While hearing from real life medical office professionals who have survived the EMR conversion, the workshop includes an update on implementation, financing and financial incentives available, thus we are encouraging all EMRs to consider this unique opportunity. The intent is for all attendees to leave the conference with ‘hands on examples" of EMR implementation, which will undoubtedly provide heavy traffic for EMR exhibitors.
