Robert M. Wah, MD, Member, Board of Trustees, American Medical Association
Dr. Wah is a nationally recognized expert in health information technology. Las year, he was voted No. 9 in the 50 Most Powerful Physician Executives by Modern Healthcare magazine and was featured on the cover of Washington Technology. He is a reproductive endocrinologist and ob-gyn. He practices and teaches at the national Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. He has served on the faculties of Harvard Medical School, University fo California, San Diego, and Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
Nancy Maguire, ACS, PCS, FCS, HCS-D, CRT Keynote Speaker
Nancy has spent over twenty years as a teacher, coding bootcamp trainer and workshop leader. She is an amazing presenter guaranteed to make a lasting impact on your career and your life. She has authored countless coding articles and presentations. In her expansive career, she has transitioned from nursing, to coding, to practice management, auditing and consulting. Nancy served as Director of Coding and Reimbursement at UTMB in Galveston Texas for four years. She served the first two terms as president of AAPC in the early 90’s. Her expert guidance helps coders to make the best decisions in their everyday jobs.
Audrey Coaxum, CHI, CMC, CMIS, CMOM Las Vegas Conference Chair
Audrey teaches medical office professionals across the country as a PMI faculty member. She is a Certified Healthcare Instructor with more than 15 years of well-rounded health care experience. and has conducted in-services and developed training programs and assessments on practice management and compliance. She has overseen the development and implementation of policy and procedures relating to practice management, risk management and compliance based on federal, state, NCQA, HIPAA and OSHA standards. She has served on Quality Assurance, Medical Management, Risk Management, Network Development, Utilization Review, Health Disparities Collaborative and Compliance Boards.
Doug Arrington, Ph.D., FNP, CHC, CHRC, CMC, CPC-H, CPMA
Doug Arrington, Ph.D., FNP, CHC, CHRC, CMC, CPC-H, CPMA is the Director of the Office of Billing Compliance at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. Doug is responsible for the Billing Compliance for all professional billing, hospital billing, and research billing at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Prior to becoming the Director, Doug most recently was with the Anesthesia and Pain Management Department as the Manager, overseeing the day to day administrative operations of the Department. Prior to this he was a member of the Medical School Faculty and served as the Compliance Officer for the OB/Gyn Department. From 2001 until he joined the Faculty, he served as the Director of Reimbursement for UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. Prior to joining UT Southwestern, he served as the Vice President for Network Management at United Healthcare. He has also held several positions within other Managed Care Payers. Doug has worked clinically as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the Chronic Pain, Dual Diagnosis Substance Abuse/Mental Health programs and the Emergency Room at Vanderbilt University. Doug earned a BS in nursing from the University of Utah, a Master’s degree in Nursing from Vanderbilt University, and a Ph.D. in Health Administration with a focus in Health Policy from Kennedy-Western University. Doug has a diverse clinical and administrative background in health care operations, billing, coding, reimbursement and compliance.
Robert Liles, JD
Robert is principal shareholder of Liles Parker, PLLC, a Washington DC law firm. His practice handles health care fraud defense and regulatory matters, representing health care providers in both civil and criminal proceedings. Before entering private practice, Robert served as Deputy Director for Legal Programs at the US Department of Justice, Executive Office for Unites States Attorneys. Prior to that he was their first National Health Care Fraud Coordinator. Mr. Liles has taught and lectured at more than 50 national conferences and seminars to DOJ prosecutors, investigators, auditors, and industry representatives on a variety of civil and criminal fraud and regulatory issues. He serves as faculty for the Georgetown University / National Institute of Trial Advocacy. He is a long-time contributor to PMI conferences and projects.
D.K. Everitt
Mr. Everitt is a Healthcare Compliance Officer, whose work includes assessing hundreds of medical facilities, implementing Corporate Integrity Agreements and OSHA compliance training. He has authored several compliance books and serves as president of The Compliance Division, L.L.C. He has spent the last 25 years developing and managing corporate compliance programs and shares his talents as an Adjunct Lecturer and Preceptor for Trinity University's Health Care Administration Graduate Studies department. He has shared his knowledge with participants at several of PMI’s conferences. Mr. Everitt also serves on PMI’s Contributing Editor, Board of Experts.

Jeffrey Restuccio, CPC, CPC-H, MBA, is a certified coding and billing instructor. He has over fifteen years of coding and training experience and conducts Coding and Documentation seminars and comprehensive Coding Certification Prep Courses nationwide. He is also the author or over a dozen, online training courses for billing, coding, HIPAA, ICD-9, ICD-10 and auditing on his website: Ritecode.com.
Regina Mixon Bates, IRO, TPA, CMC, CMIS, CMOM, CPC, CPC-I
Director of Associate Faculty Development
Regina Mixon Bates has been an Instructor for PMI since 2000. She is also CEO of The Physicians Practice S.O.S. Group Inc. and has over 20 years of medical management and education experience.
and her Atlanta-based company are approved through the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) as an Independent Review Organization (IRO). She is licensed as a Third Party Administrator (TPA) and holds certifications in medical practice management, physician practice coding and medical insurance billing.
Linda D’Spain, CMPE, CMC, CMIS, CMOM
Linda D’Spain is a PMI faculty member with a range of experience in health care administration. represents a number of medical groups as a leader, manager and practice growth specialist. She is an accomplished presenter with more than 18 years in practice management. She has been instrumental in PMI’s program development and oversight She is a Board Certified Medical Practice Executive through the American College of Medical Practice Executives and is currently working toward her fellowship in Health Care Administration. She holds all three certifications through Practice Management Institute and conducts regular training for physicians and their staff across the country.
Wanda Batch, B.S.N., R.N., C.G.R.N.
Wanda has spent many years in Practice Administration. She has implemented several EMR systems, handled budgeting, policy and procedures, job descriptions and coordinated the JCAHO and AAAHC accreditation process. She is currently the Administrator with Sports Medicine Associates of San Antonio, P.A. A former office manager for a busy gastroenterology group, she helped convert that office to a chartless EMR-run practice. She is a member of the San Antonio chapter of the MGMA where she served as a board member for the past 5 years.
