Angie Brown has more than 20 years of experience in medical practice management and adult education. Her expertise has made her a knowledgeable and sought after resource in South Carolina and throughout the country. Angie has extensive experience teaching CPT, ICD-9-CM, reimbursement, OSHA, and HIPAA compliance. She is adept at government rules and regulations, and personnel management with auditing guidelines. Angie holds multiple certifications including: Certified Medical Coder, Certified Medical Insurance Specialist, Certified Medical Office Manager, Certified Allied Health Instructor, and Certified Medical Assistant. She is also a National Certification Proctor for Practice Management Institute.
Angie has served since 1997 as a Program Manager and Instructor in the Health Sciences and Nursing Departments with Greenville Technical College. She has field experience as a practice administrator and medical consultant. Angie has been a faculty member with PMI for more than four years. In 2005, she received one of PMI's highest honors, the Outstanding National Liaison award for 2005.
