Principles of Coding

Learn how to use the language of coding to tell the story of the patient encounter. This is a basic-level class and essential coding primer for anyone that wants to improve their knowledge of outpatient coding. The instructor will take participants through the complete reimbursement process for physician services. For maximum benefit, participants should bring current CPT and ICD-10-CM coding books to this class. 

Participants will receive detailed instruction and complete practice exercises to quickly improve coding proficiency and accuracy. The instruction and course materials include guidelines for more effective use of coding books, guidance on proper code selection, and tips to becoming a more efficient, versatile, and accurate coder.
