Attend this session to get the facts on the latest compliance updates and changes to payment policies, rates, and quality-related provisions for physician services furnished under the Medicare Part B Physician Fee Schedule in 2020. CMS has introduced a series of standard technical proposals involving practice expense and standard rate-setting refinements related to malpractice expense and geographic practice cost indices (GPCIs) and intends to align E/M coding with changes laid out by the AMA CPT Editorial Panel. Maxine will explain the details released in the final rule so you can understand the impact these changes will have on your practice in the new year.

This webinar program will include the physician reporting and reimbursement information relevant to the Quality Payment Program updates to MIPS and APMs for 2020. Find out what’s new regarding Telehealth and gain details on new HCPCS codes for CCM and increased payment for TCM. Maxine will review new coding for PCM services, which is expected to pay clinicians for providing care management for patients with a single serious and high-risk condition. Learn about updates to the acute kidney injury (AKI) dialysis payment rate for renal dialysis services and learn about the ESRD Quality Incentive Program changes designed to promote competition, value, and results for dialysis patients.

Additional updates addressed include revised guidelines for physician supervision of PAs and changes to the documentation policy for providers supervising other team members. Changes to the Open Payments national disclosure program will be covered and the SUPPORT Act includes new coding and payment for a bundled episode of care for management and counseling for Opioid Use Disorder (OUD).

Maxine has more than 30 years of experience in medical practice management, adult education, and general business. She is the former administrator for a multi-specialty clinic, and has taught numerous practice management, accounting and business communications courses at various levels at Midwestern State University in Texas.
