About the Presenters
Aimee Wilcox is a medical coding, billing, and auditing author and educator with more than 30 years of clinical and administrative healthcare experience working in a variety of specialties, in both small and large organizations. She has authored and co-authored over 40 books on ICD-10-CM and reimbursement issues, as well as authoring a successful online medical coding course. At Find-A-Code, Aimee writes and creates tools and resources that aid healthcare professionals to perform their jobs more efficiently and accurately. She also consults in coding, billing, auditing, and provider documentation issues, providing assistance in complying with insurance payer policies and protecting revenue. Her clinical background helps her communicate more effectively with providers on their documentation issues and patient care processes.
Maxine has more than 30 years of experience in medical practice management, adult education, and general business. She is the former administrator for a multi-specialty clinic, and has taught numerous practice management, accounting and business communications courses at various levels at Midwestern State University in Texas. She has extensive experience as a practice consultant and has taught both administrative and clinical personnel.
Lisa has been involved in the medical billing, management and consulting field since 1982. In 2006, she founded Gold Star Medical Business Services, an award winning company that provides remote billing services for physicians in small to medium sized individual and group practices. Prior to starting Gold Star Medical, she worked for one of the largest Practice Management consulting firms in the country. Lisa has consulted with hundreds of doctors as a practice management coach, and has spoken at hundreds of seminars throughout the United States, both as a teacher and motivational speaker. She is PMI's Director of Business Development for the West Central Texas region, and an adjunct instructor with the Angelo State University Small Business Development Center, and teaches a variety of business classes to new and prospective business owners.
