The Rural Health Clinic (RHC) program is intended to increase access to primary care services in rural communities. Attend this session to learn the unique documentation, coding and billing rules required for provider reimbursement in a Rural Health Clinic. Learn how RHCs are reimbursed an "all-inclusive rate" (AIR) for medically necessary primary health services and qualified preventive health services. Find out how this AIR differs depending on whether you are an independent or provider-based RHC. Gain clarity on what types of providers can perform RHC services. Understand what constitutes RHC services vs non-RHC services. Learn the proper use of modifiers in RHCs.

About the Presenter

After starting her career with a medical billing service almost 15 years ago, Tracy Taylor transitioned to a physician practice where she quickly learned all aspects from front desk reception to back office collections and everything in between. After becoming proficient in multiple areas and gaining experience in billing, coding, patient satisfaction, credentialing and compliance she made her way into management. She currently manages two rural health clinics in northeast Texas for CHRISTUS Health. Working with CHRISTUS Trinity Clinics, she maintains broad responsibilities in daily operations.

With experience in financial management, physician and staff management, provider recruitment and onboarding as well as patient satisfaction improvement initiatives, Tracy strongly believes fostering an environment of transparency, teamwork and high staff engagement are crucial to success.
