Webinar/Audio Conference FAQs

How are the private health insurance carriers responding to the urgent need to expand access to telehealth services in this age of COVID-19? Maxine Collins aims to answer this question exactly in this 60 minute Lunch and Learn webinar on March 31. The policy and payment landscape around telehealth continues to be complex. In response to the current pandemic, change is happening rapidly as providers scramble to learn how to use technology to continue treating patients and payers and governing agencies relax prior limitations to expand coverage.

Learn what types of virtual services providers can offer through various communication methods and ensure you will be reimbursed for them from the private payers. Explore options for getting started with Telehealth. Review guidance and recommendations from Industry experts like the AMA and OIG. Understand how the emergency declarations affect telehealth across all payers and know when they will expire. Learn the details on new codes and proper modifier usage specific to virtual services. Gain insight on expanding virtual services to bolster the practice's financial health.

The following third-party payers will be addressed:

  • Aetna
  • BC/BS
  • Cigna
  • Humana
