Webinar/Audio Conference FAQs

Ignorance is not bliss where healthcare compliance is concerned. Don't stay in the dark. Learn all you need to know about CMS and the MACs national Targeted Probe and Educate (“TPE”) Program. TPE audits are occurring for a variety of providers and they are not going away.

CMS began “Probe and Educate” in 2014 and in September 2018, the TPE Program was added to the Medicare Program Integrity Manual, replacing the Progressive Corrective Action medical review process. In this session, healthcare attorney Heidi Kocher will address these questions and more about TPE:

What is TPE

  • What is the purpose and scope of this program?
  • Who does it impact?
  • How are providers selected for review?
  • What documents can be audited?

Find out what TPE means for your practice. Learn what you need to know - and what you should do - if your provider receives a TPE notification letter. Educate yourself on the TPE process and understand how your providers can avoid being referred to CMS for a RAC or UPIC audit. Start compliance now!
