Libby has worked in the healthcare industry for more than 20 years. She is a Billing and Coding Manager for a multi-specialty provider network of more than 55 physicians where she has worked for 16 years. Prior to working as a physician biller she worked on the payer side for a nationally recognized insurance company.

Libby is Senior Instructor at the University of North Texas Medical Billing Specialist programs where she has worked for 15 years. She finds great satisfaction in teaching and sharing her knowledge of billing and coding. She has presented seminars to physician groups on numerous billing and coding topics including E & M, Modifiers and Medicare Reimbursement. She is a Certified ICD-10 Instructor, a Certified Healthcare Instructor (CHI) and holds three PMI credentials (CMC/CMIS/CMOM) through PMI. Additionally, she is a Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC), and Certified Professional Coder (CPC). She serves as an Advisory Board Member for Practice Management Institute and Everest College.

Libby has made many valuable content contributions to the PMI curriculum. She was recently appointed PMI's National Director of Associate Faculty Development and is presently building a team of Associate Faculty. She has been recognized by Practice Management Institute four times (2010, 2012, 2013, and 2015) for her outstanding contributions as an Associate Instructor.

Prior to her work with the University of North Texas and PMI, Libby ran her own billing and consulting firm. Her expertise consisted of keeping her clients abreast of the latest coding updates, and government rules and regulations for correct reimbursement.
